The Edgewater High School Marine Corps JROTC Eagle Battalion recently placed fifth out of 270 MCJROTC programs in the National JROTC Leadership and Academics Bowl Championships in Washington, D.C.

The competition was held in June and brought together hundreds of passionate programs, all ready to show their skills and represent their branches throughout the five services: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Civil Air Patrol.

More than 70 teams competed at the JLAB competition and Edgewater was able to do incredibly well, thanks to their hard work and dedication of staff and faculty in the STEM areas, foreign languages, history, arts and music.
