Obituary for Michael Philip Laberge

By Lene Caracas-Apuntar | | Dec 3, 2018

Michael Philip Laberge was born in Portland, Maine on January 19, 1950. He passed away in Apopka, Florida on November 29, 2018.

He is survived by his daughter, Kaleena Laberge; his Sister Christine (William) Laberge Soutullo; nephews Ian Carson, Michael Carson, Christopher Soutullo; Brother Andy Laberge (Ann Rogers); Sister Elizabeth Laberge Rufer; nephews and niece Russell Rufer, Jacob (Liz) Rufer, Shawna Rufer; and great-nephew Jacob; and Sister Denise Laberge Evon; nephews Raymond Evon and Anthony Evon.

Mike was an avid golfer, playing almost every Sunday as he could. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family and friends, all of which loved him dearly. He has worked at the Orlando Auto Auction for over 34 years as Lot, Security, and Registration Supervisor. He kept to himself often, but although quiet and reserved, could also be outgoing when he wanted.

He taught his daughter how to ride a bike, swim, play guitar, play pool and poker, hit a golf ball, and love life. He uplifted people when they were down, without them even knowing. He always just tried to do the right thing, always putting others above himself. He never wanted anyone to worry about him. He was the most loving father anyone could have asked for and will always live on in the heart of those that loved him.
