Obituary: Iva Powell Hope

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Iva Powell Hope, who passed away on April 4, 2019, will be held at A Community Funeral Home on Saturday, April 13th at 2 PM.

Ms. Hope was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Powell and Dorothy Ethridge and her brother Elwood Powell.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Sandy) and Jeff Hope; her sister Dottie Lujack (Skip), sister-in-law Cindy Powell and her Aunt Nora Lawrence. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jeffrey, Scott (Kelsey), Todd, Brittany and Jessica Hope.

Iva began her life in Andrews, South Carolina on January 21, 1935. Settling in Orlando in the 50's, she worked for Bell South for 35 years. After retiring, she dedicated time to her family and thoroughly enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow. She was a selfless friend to many in the Conway community; she will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank her friends, doctors and the staff at the Florida Hospital/AdventHealth and Cornerstone Hospice for their compassion through her illness.
