Nestor Raul Barrios, 62, of Orlando, entered the gates of heaven on June 4th, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Nestor was survived by his mother, Leonor Barrios, his sister, Patricia Boyd, his three children, Jessica Barrios, Ariel Monica Barrios, and Anthony Michael Barrios, his grandson Michael Anthony Nappo, his uncle and aunt Edilberto and Herminza Pedraza, and many friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Jeronimo Barrios , his grandmother Domitila Ospina, his aunt Flor Mercedes Amaya and his brother in law Robert Boyd. Nestor was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
Nestor loved sports, especially football and baseball. His favorites teams were the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Yankees. He lived in Passaic, New Jersey for most of his life and relocated to Florida in 2001. He worked as a plumber, general contractor, and electrician for 40 years, but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his health. He spent his free time watching sports, Maury, Family Feud and crime shows on TV and enjoyed helping his family any way that he could. He also loved all genres of music especially classic rock. It brought joy to Nestor to help relatives and friends with household projects. Nestor’s personality was one of a kind and brought happiness to those around him. He will be greatly missed.
A special thank you to Orlando Regional Medical Center and the VITAS Hospice team for their loving care and support during his final days. Thank you to A Community Funeral Home & Sunset Cremations for their guidance and compassion during this difficult time.
